What is the best way to get to the Sheridan Lake Marina?

What are the requirements to rent motorized watercrafts from the Sheridan Lake Marina?
• To rent our motorized watercrafts such as pontoons, fishing boats, or jet skis you must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, have a credit card that you can put on file, and be able to make the full payment at the time of your booking.
What are the requirements to rent non-motorized watercrafts from the Sheridan Lake Marina?
• To rent our non-motorized watercrafts such as kayaks, paddleboards, canoes, etc. you must be at least 18 years old, have a credit card that can be put on file, and be able to make the full payment at the time of your booking. However, the rest of the party does not have to be 18 to use these watercrafts!
What are the requirements to operate a motorized watercraft?
• To be able to operate any of our motorized watercrafts a person must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license with them, and go through our operation orientation. It is important to note that even if you have rented from us many times, you will be required to go through our orientation each time.
What are the Check-in and Check-out routines?
• CHECK-IN: When your party arrives at the marina, we will have only the people operating the boat for that day go through our orientation. During the orientation, our staff will verify your driver’s license and ask you to read/sign a boat safety acknowledgement form. Next, we will go over the map of the lake and our policies for operating our boats. Lastly, we will take the operators to their boat for the day and go through safety items and how to operate. You should allow 10-20 minutes for this process.
• CHECK-OUT: When your party is done with the boat for the day, you will bring it to our fueling dock. While you are unloading your items and garbage, our staff with ensure no damage was obtained while the boat was in your possession and fuel the boat. Our staff will take payment for fuel that was used and have you sign-out!
What are the rental time frames available, and do I have to show up at that time?
• We have a full day or half day option for all our boat rentals. The full day time frame is 8am5:30pm. Our two half-day options are 9am-1pm or 2pm-6pm. You are not required to be at the marina at the start time of your rental. With a confirmed booking, the boat is yours for the day. You are allowed to come and go as you please within the specified time frame of your booking!
Can I bring my dog on the boat?
• Dogs are allowed on our boats with a 10-dollar fee for each dog.
Are the rental boats at the marina wheelchair accessible?
• Yes! Our docks are wide enough for wheelchair access. If needed, we can park our pontoons on a dock that is close to the shore and our staff will happily assist.
Can I get a fishing license at the marina?
• Yes! Staff at the marina are trained to help you get the appropriate fishing license you may need. Be sure to bring a valid ID, form of payment, and knowledge of your social security number.
What kind of fish are in Sheridan Lake?
• Sheridan Lake is stocked with a great variety of fish such as Crappie, Bluegill, Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, Walleye, Northern Pike, and Large/Small Mouth Bass.
What kind of fishing supplies does the marina have in stock?
• The marina carries fishing poles, a variety of tackle, nightcrawlers, and minnows for sale. We do not have any fishing gear for rent.
Where are the good fishing spots at Sheridan Lake?
• We will happily share our knowledge of the best fishing areas on the lake when you arrive!
Is the Sheridan Lake Marina responsible for the campgrounds, public beaches, loading docks,
and bathrooms at Sheridan Lake?
• The marina and its staff are NOT responsible for the campgrounds, public beaches, loading docks, or bathrooms at Sheridan Lake.
What if the weather is cold or undesirable the day of our rental?
• We hope for there to be gorgeous, warm weather every day we’re open, however, we know that isn’t a reality. Our weather policy that indicates a proration of the rental is implemented if the weather is dangerous. Unfortunately, it does not apply if the weather is undesirable.
• Refunds for weather are dependent on actual weather, not on forecasted weather. You must be present for the rental in order to be eligible for a weather proration.
• We encourage you to check weather forecasts before your visit and to contact us with any questions or concerns. Your safety and enjoyment are our priorities, and we appreciate your understanding of our policies regarding weather-related issues.
Do we have to arrive exactly at the start of the rental timeframe?
• No, the boat is reserved for you for the entire rental timeframe. You are welcome to arrive anytime within that timeframe. If you would like to get out on the water by the start of the rental time, we encourage you to arrive 20-30 minutes prior to the rental time to ensure we can complete the check in process prior to departure.
